How old are you vs how old do you feel?

Updated: Nov 28, 2022

· Are you wasting your bones and muscles away?

· Are you getting old people’s diseases?

· Is your immune system getting weaker?

There is so much information available for us now but unfortunately our community is getting weaker and sicker. A lot of young people are getting old people’s diseases. Obesity challenge is record high in society.

Have you noticed that most people stay in the cycle of losing weight for a short period with dieting and putting on extra weight after? It seems to be normal. Sadly most of that weight is water loss or loss of muscle tissue.

Sarcopenia is a disease that occurs due to loss of muscle mass, strength and it used to only occur in old age but now it’s seen in very young people.

Osteoporosis is a bone thinning disease which again commonly known to occur in women after the age 60 , can now be seen in young children , young women and men. Osteoporosis weakens bones to the point that they can break easily. It is called a “silent disease” because people who develop it may not notice any changes until a bone breaks — usually a bone in the hip, spine, or wrist. In serious cases of osteoporosis, a simple motion such as a cough or minor bump can result in a broken bone.

As our Immune system is built inside the bone , is it possible that if our bones get weak or fragile, our body’s ability to fight diseases could down the hill as well ?

Could that mean we catch more bugs and viruses and could it be harder to recover from any diseases ?

Type 2 diabetes used to be known as adult-onset diabetes, but children are starting to get obesity challenge at a very young age and getting type2 diabetes .

Did you notice that Heart attack or Cardiac arrest is still number 1 killer in society? Unfortunately the first symptom for most people is Death.

Is it possible that we are ignoring these facts? Would we only pay attention when it affects our very close loved ones?

How about we follow the basics?

  • Stay in 100% energy effort system which is Phosphate energy system , include short burst high intensity exercise in our daily routine and put our maximum effort every time we do any activity.

  • Eat in moderation. Eat when we are hungry and stop eating when we are full.

Our muscles and bones only get stronger when we put pressure on them. If we don’t use them then we will lose them. Our body is designed to adapt.

Could that mean that we get old as we stop getting involved in high intensity exercise and stop putting pressure on our muscles and bones ?

Should we take responsibility in making sure that our kids don’t get obesity challenge and preventable diseases like Type 2 diabetes?

Wouldn’t it be awesome to get fit and strong, stay active and not accept these diseases as normal?
